Description
Under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist in all phases of the department operation that the Pharmacy Technician can legally perform, including unit dose, IV admixture, profiling, packaging, record-keeping, stocking, billing and clerical duties. The Pharmacy Technician employs intellectual, interpersonal and technical skills through the utilization of the pharmacy process to assist patients and customers in achieving maximum health potential. At St. Mary Medical Center, the Pharmacy Technician is responsible for inpatient hospital pharmacy functions.
