Senspex in is seeking to hire an Audio Visual Specialist III (AVIII) for our NTC Mission Support Department located in Ft Irwin, CA!

The AVIII provides advanced knowledge of research and has the ability to prepare, produce and edit audio/visual (film or videotape for closed-circuit television) material for use by the customer. This position collaborates with clients to determine the best media format for their requirements, selects music and sound effects, and oversees the production process. Leadership responsibilities are applicable to this position.

What you'll get to do as an AVIII at Senspex:

  • Consults the General Manager and/or shift lead for clarification of standard procedures and non-routine customer issues
  • Prioritizes and assigns tasks to the audio visual personnel and technicians
  • Provides training to all company personnel as needed
  • Acts as the point of contact between VVCEC and customers, and executes Scope-of-Work (SOW) requirements
  • Creates or provides input to the weekly work schedules
  • Supervises duty performance and makes recommendations on personnel and technical issues
  • Monitors the status of assigned equipment and reports equipment/systems malfunctions in accordance with established procedures
  • Prepares required documentation in accordance with established procedures
  • Selects from a range of standard video equipment for assignments, normally without opportunity for late retakes, when there are specific problems or uncertainties concerning lighting, exposure time, color, artistry, etc.
  • Discusses technical requirements with operating officials or supervisor, and customizes treatment for each situation according to detail request

The qualifications we require:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be a current AVII, if promotional
  • Three (3) years of experience in the audio/video environment, to include a minimum of two (2) years experience in a first line supervisory position
  • Must currently possess an active DoD Secret Clearance; or other equivalent U. S. Government Security Clearance
  • Current California Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL),or willingness to obtain a CDL

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work within the United States
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug test
  • Must possess acceptable forms of identification under the REAL ID Act
  • May require obtaining a U.S. DoD security clearance. Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance in order to work on projects/programs.
