ASRC Federal Systems Solutions, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a full time Construction Project Specialist to support our nation’s premier Propulsion Test Complex, at the Air Force Research Laboratory, on Edwards Air Base, CA. This role will support a new Project that will proceed from designing the layout, then building the test site to then testing a new generation propulsion system. This will be an exciting opportunity to assist and shape the future.
Key Role:
Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily construction activities in accordance with approved schedules.
Manage phased construction activities to ensure continuity of operations in active research/test environments.
Sequence work to avoid disruption to adjacent facilities and mission-critical operations.
Monitor progress against baseline schedule and implement corrective actions as required.
Ensure proper turnover between construction phases (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, controls, etc.).
Conduct field quality checks and coordinate inspections.
Verify subcontractor work meets design intent and applicable codes.
Support documentation for CUI-sensitive projects where applicable.
Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure job hazard analyses are followed.
Ensure personnel comply with base entry and escort requirements.
Assist in preparing weekly field progress summaries (accomplishments, challenges, roadblocks).
Coordinate equipment deliveries, staging areas, and material handling.
Support outage planning for utilities, testing systems, and facility tie-ins.
Basic Qualifications:
BS/BA in a related field
5-7 years of relevant experience
Experience with compatibility of propellant and piping
Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Ability to support possible weekend or after-hours support
Valid driver's license required
Must possess either REAL ID or US Passport
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading a multi-disciplines team in the support of Propulsion testing
Some experience in overall Systems Safety
