ASRC Federal System Solutions LLC, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking an Electronics Technician I to join out NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center team.  This position provides technical support to the Mission Support Services team in support of flight research missions through the Dryden Aeronautical Tracking Range (DATR).  This includes supporting, maintaining, and development of the mission control centers, telemetry, and radar acquisition systems, data distribution and recording systems, mobile operations facilities, and other mission support systems. This role is located at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center on Edwards Air Force Base, near Palmdale/Lancaster, CA.  As a part of this team, you will be required to work a 9/80 schedule with typical hours of 6:30am-4:00pm with occasional overtime (weekdays or weekends) to support mission flight operations. Responsibilities: Data display buildup Real time and post flight data processing support Project specific mission configuration/reconfiguration for initial buildup and modifications System maintenance, repair, fabrication, integration, and installation activities Develop and modify operational documentation of systems and direct support equipment   Requirements: HS diploma or equivalent. Completion of formal training in an accredited commercial or military electronics school and 1 year of related work experience Knowledge of PM and troubleshooting procedures for communications and uplink system, digital recording systems, HF, VHF, UHF transceivers and supporting Antenna Systems Must be U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance required Desired Skills: Excellent customer service skills Comprehensive knowledge in general electronics Familiarity with ISO standards and following standardized procedures   Physical Requirements: Range environment with work at remote locations, prolonged sitting while using the computer and the telephone, constant use of sight abilities, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness.  Ability to work extended and flexible hours including some nights and weekends.  Ability to pass a heavy equipment physical exam required to operate motorized equipment such as forklifts, bucket lifts and platform personnel lifts.  Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.  Ability to climb stairs and ladders.  Work location is in a desert environment, and employees are in contact with various desert wildlife.  Occasional travel is required.
