Job Summary

As a Shift Leader, you will provide oversight to Team Members in the absence of the General Manager or Assistant Manager.

Your responsibilities include:

• Coaching and directing Team Members
• Recognizing outstanding performance
• Establishing shift priorities
• Training Team Members on policies and procedures
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, security, quality, and cleanliness standards
• Opening and/or closing the restaurant
• Creating superior guest experiences
• Helping achieve cost and profit goals

Job Details

Work Hours:
Full-time hours. Some overtime may be expected.

Requirements

Experience:
Must have 1+ year of restaurant supervisory experience or be a Farmer Boys–certified Shift Leader.

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.

Communication:

• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Second language is a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers

Competencies:

• Kitchen operations knowledge
• Customer service skills
• Time management
• Experience entering orders into a Point-of-Sale (POS) system

Food Handler Certification:
A ServSafe certification is required where applicable.

Physical Demands:
A Shift Leader regularly:

• Stands, talks, and hears
• Uses close and distant vision
• Tastes or smells food
• Repetitively uses hands to reach, handle, feel, or grasp objects

Occasionally required to:

• Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Lift objects up to 40 lbs
