Job Description

We are a local plumbing company seeking a reliable and experienced Septic Pump Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the proper functioning of our customers' septic systems by safely and efficiently pumping waste from their tanks.

Responsibilities

• Operate a septic pump truck in compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
• Safely maneuver the truck in various conditions, including residential and commercial properties, tight spaces, and uneven terrain
• Communicate with customers to understand their needs and provide exceptional customer service
• Use hand and power tools to access and inspect septic tanks, locate openings, and ensure proper function
• Inspect and maintain the truck and all equipment; report any issues to management
• Accurately complete all required paperwork, including logbooks and service tickets
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Participate in training and development programs as needed

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with tanker endorsement
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience driving a septic pump truck or similar vehicle (preferred but not required)
• Excellent driving and safety record
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools (up to 50 lbs)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs)

Salary: From $22.00 per hour
