Surgical Technologist - Spine and Total Joint Experience Required

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts include:

• Day 3x12-Hour (06:30 - 19:00)
• Day 3x12-Hour (10:30 - 23:00)

On-call required: generally about 3 weekdays and 2-3 weekend days in a 6-week pay period.

Job Description

The Surgical Technologist will support surgical procedures in a fast-paced environment, handling instruments and assisting the surgical team during operations. The ideal candidate must have experience in spine and total joint surgeries, with proficiency in scrubbing various types of cases.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and arrange surgical instruments and supplies for various surgical procedures.
• Assist with draping and positioning patients for surgery.
• Maintain a sterile environment while assisting the surgical team during operations.
• Handle instruments and specimens appropriately and according to protocols.
• Assist in emergency situations as required, responding promptly to the needs of the surgeons.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical technology.
• Certification from either NBSTSA or NCCT is required.
• Current BLS certification is necessary.
• Experience in spine and total joint procedures is mandatory.
• Strong familiarity with various surgical specialties including orthopedics, urology, and gynecology preferred.
