Position Overview
The Customer Service Associate is responsible for greeting customers, taking accurate orders, answering questions, and ensuring every guest has a positive experience. Strong reading and writing skills are essential — this role requires reading custom order notes, writing messages on orders, and communicating clearly with both customers and the team.
Key Responsibilities
Greet customers with a friendly, professional attitude
Take accurate orders (including custom cake/pastry orders)
Read and understand written instructions, order notes, and product labels
Write clear, correct messages on order forms and customer notes
Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries
Handle payments and operate the POS system
Maintain a clean and organized front counter
Communicate effectively with bakers and team members
Assist with packaging, labeling, and stocking baked goods
Required Skills
Strong reading and writing skills (very important)
Excellent communication and customer service
Ability to stay calm and professional during busy periods
Attention to detail and accuracy
Basic math skills for handling payments
Reliable, punctual, and responsible
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of experience in customer service or food service
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
Schedule & Availability
Must be available weekends and holidays
