We're currently seeking a licensed Embalmer/Funeral Arranger (licensed funeral director a plus but not required) to join our team. The position requires a valid embalmer's license, ideally 2 years of experience working in a funeral home, and the ability to make and carry out funeral/memorial arrangements. The ideal candidate will provide customer service in all areas of funeral arrangements, cremation ceremonies and internment. Implements choices made by the families or legal representative regarding the funeral, final disposition of the body and memorialization of the individual. Interacts with the family to fulfill death care needs. Oversee, clean and maintain embalming prep room area while executing all embalming and decedent preparation duties including, but not limited to, dressing, casketing, and cosmetology. Funeral attendant duties such as working viewings, funeral/memorial services, and graveside services as well as light housekeeping responsibilities will be required (stocking restrooms, clean up after services, etc.). The position requires the ability to work positively and productively with co-workers, clients, and outside agencies. Strong communication skills, problem solving and critical thinking abilities are a must.
Re-location to the Hi-Desert area is not a requirement. However, assistance will be offered to anyone looking to move and avoid a lengthy commute.
