PRIMARY FUNCTION
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Assistant Construction Coordinator to work with field leadership to serve as a general team member for project support and ensure that projects are being completed safely, accurately and in a timely manner. In this role, it will be essential to learn how the business runs, how changing circumstances are handled, and who to contact when there are questions.  PPG is seeking to hire an Assistant Construction Coordinator stationed in Adelanto, CA.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work closely with the field and project management to ensure successful delivery of the project
  • Support daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, as assigned, including meeting communication, documentation of the minutes, and tracking of the action items
  • Setup, organize, update, and maintain electronic and printed project documents using various systems, including Procore, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and SharePoint
  • Update field management on all project progress, forecast and field personnel changes
  • Help develop, submit, track, and maintain all project submittals and request for information
  • Download, issue, and schedule work packages as directed
  • Audit project documents for accuracy and program efficiency
  • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by management
  • Assist in the inspection process to ensure all work meets quality standards and project specifications
  • Prepare and maintain accurate daily logs, site reports, and documentation related to materials, inspections, and labor hours
  • Support procurement by verifying material needs and confirming deliveries
  • Perform special projects and complete any other duties as assigned or requested
  • Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures
Position Reports to: Construction Manager

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in construction coordination or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and project documentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project) - a plus
  • Maintain a professional appearance with the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication (oral, written, presentation, listening) organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks
  • Ability to work onsite and travel locally as needed to support the project
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle driving record
  • Self-starter who can work independently while supporting the needs of the team
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
  • Customer service and effective time management skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
  • Must be capable of performing physical activities such as lifting to 20 pounds at times,
bending, standing, walking, lifting, stretching, climbing, and crawling in both on-site and office environments
  • Must be able to work in varying environmental conditions and uneven terrain

This is a full-time annual salary position offering $70,000 - $100,000. The expected workload is 50 - 60 hours per week, depending on project requirements.
