Job Description

The Technician provides operations support to the National Training Center (NTC) mission: to provide realistic joint and combined arms training focused on developing soldiers, leaders, and units of the United States Military for success on the 21st Century Battle Field.

Cloudberry is searching for pyro technicians who possess current California alcohol, tobacco, firearms licenses. The pyro technicians will use “Hollywood” type special effects to replicate explosions, rockets, bullet strikes and the effect of traumatic injuries.

The lead pyro technician shall have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the prerequisite special effects explosives and devices. All pyro technicians shall possess current California Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms licenses.

 

Job Duties Include:

  • Prepares and maintains operations log.
  • Performs tasks such as replacing components, wiring circuits and simple repair functions.
  • Receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or senior technician.
  • Applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions, and applies skills in restoring equipment operations during instrumentation, MILES contact team support, and de-instrumentation of MILES equipment from vehicles.
  • Inspects, prepares for use, and activates pyrotechnic devices and smoke generating equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety regulations.
  • Receives direction from supervisor and Team Leaders via FM or internal communication systems.
  • Performs operator maintenance on military vehicles for the Firemarker and Smoker teams.
  • Stores, issues, and accounts for pyrotechnics used in creating battlefield effects.
  • Adheres to Company, Site Manager, Team Supervisor, and Team leader directives, memoranda, policies and procedures and supports quality/ISO, security and training programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform duties and travel in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind)
  • Current California alcohol, tobacco, firearms licenses.
